About the Program
Anger Management Program
This is the only anger management program of its kind in British Columbia developed in alignment with the standards and best practices of the National Anger Management Association (NAMA) and facilitated by a Certified Anger Management Specialist (CAMS-II).
Whether you are attending by court order, probation requirement, or for personal growth, this structured program provides the tools, accountability, and support needed to transform unhealthy anger patterns into healthier ways of living and relating.

What You’ll Learn
This program is built on a 12-module evidence-based framework developed in alignment with the standards of the National Anger Management Association (NAMA). For practicality, these modules are condensed into 8 weeks of accelerated and supported learning.
The program will be structured around the workbook, “ Anger Management Workbook and Curriculum: Evidence-based and Clinically Proven Practices. Second Edition; by Rich Pfeiffer, M.Div, Ph.D and Laura B. Moss, CAMS-IV.

This arrangement of the modules is one example of how the program can be delivered. The specific structure may vary depending on your needs and circumstances.
Week 1: Understanding Anger & Triggers

Intro to emotional/body awareness
Week 2: Mindfulness & Self-Awareness

Deepen awareness of physical/emotional cues

Teach calming and grounding techniques

Week 4: Shame, Judgment & the Inner Critic

Week 5: Destructive Thinking & Stress Reactions

Each week, you will be assigned reading from the workbook and will complete an anger log. Classes will cover the weekly workbook material, include group discussions, review of anger logs, optional extra homework, mindfulness and breathing practices, and more.
Program Details
You work one-on-one with your counsellor.
The curriculum can be followed in a gradual, step-by-step manner or tailored to your individual needs and inclinations.
Currently, Paul see’s clients in-person on Mondays in Victoria. Online sessions are Monday - Friday.

Paul Izenberg is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. He is also a Certified Anger Management Specialist (CAMS II) recognized by the National Anger Management Association (NAMA).
Paul brings over two decades of experience in mindfulness and meditation, which deeply inform his approach to emotional regulation and self-awareness. He integrates this background with evidence-based psychological tools to offer a well-rounded, practical, and compassionate pathway to growth.
He believes that anger is not a personal flaw but an important signal with something to tell us—and with the right tools and support, it can be understood and integrated into clarity, confidence, and connection.

The NAMA state-of-the-art Code of Ethics is strictly enforced. This program adheres to the NAMA standards and best practices for evidence-based anger management programs.
